Tor Einar Bekken I first discovered Tucker via his SOLO ACOUSTIC GUITAR IMPROVISATIONS, which I think is a masterpiece of free guitar improv. This latest release, COLD SHOULDER, is also utterly fascinating; a wonderful collage of field recordings and instruments; deep improvisation at its most intriguing. Does it make me feel uncomfortable, which is what Tucker claims to be his intention..? Well, not really, it wakes me up and keeps me interested. I like that✊️✊️✊️.

"Cold Shoulder" first started out when i managed to blag my way onto a construction site to record foley sound that I was going use as a basis for an orchestral piece. When that idea proved problematic, I used some of those recordings for this project.
I wanted to improvise the music so it had the feeling of a suite. A lot of re-recording and rearranging happened. The few who heard the recordings commented that it made them feel uneasy and uncomfortable, which is what i intended.
