liclon This might be my favorite album of his. Track 2 Listening to JR is some beautiful emotional music. It brought me to tears my first listen. Favorite track: Listening to JR.

Steve Smith I've recommended this album as an ideal introduction to Derek Bailey's singular art for more than 20 years…what a pleasure it is to find it on Bandcamp, where I'm glad for the opportunity to purchase and recommend it anew. Tracks 1-3 find Bailey in characteristically flinty, mercurial form; in tracks 4, 6 & 7 you imagine him luxuriating in his instrument's warm, rich sound, and "Interlude" is one of his priceless accompanied chats. Consistently brilliant, with surprises throughout. Favorite track: Mart of Time part 1.

Steve Lofkin If you want to dip into Derek Bailey's extensive oeuvre, this recording is thoroughly recommended. An essential snapshot of the man and his craft. Love it.
