about

Copenhagen had an aquarium [the Danmarks Akvarium in Charlottenlund] that had the largest shoal of piranhas in captivity. Or it did have in 1994. We went to see these fish. They arrange themselves in an interesting manner. The ones at the front seem to swim about randomly whilst the ones behind are structured in rows looking out.
After the Museum concert we were walking back to Martin’s flat and stopped at an antique/second-hand shop. In the window there was a taxidermy exhibit: a piranha. The shop is closed, but I leave money with Martin to buy one and send it on. Martin buys two, but they can’t be posted. What’s to be put on the customs declaration about the parcel’s content? Chris Burn was playing in Copenhagen some weeks after my visit. He was given a box to give to me. I met Chris at the Red Rose Club in London and he delivered the box, unaware of its contents. He was surprised when he found out what he’d carried into the country [Mark Browne]

Recorded on the harbourside at Helsingør.
The gallery space was the now disused ticket offices. There was an exhibition of ceramics, mostly tiles, but also a boat with a clay wall surrounding it. I was positioned inside the wall.
There are boats leaving the port in the background.
