about

Winkhaus

Anna Homler voice, toys, objects
Adrian Northover saxophone, electronics, autoharp, theremin
Dave Tucker double bass, guitar

with Steve Beresford electronics, piano

The genesis of Winkhaus began in the late 1990s when Anna Homler guested with the London Improvisers Orchestra.
A duo of Anna Homler & Dave Tucker, on cello, performed concerts in London at 12 Bar Club as well as recording a Resonance FM session.
Concerts followed in the USA in 2000 in Ventura County, California and the Knitting Factory in LA, also with recording sessions.
Shortly after, the duo was augmented by the inclusion of Adrian Northover on alto sax etc and more gigs and recordings followed.
On occasion Winkhaus have been joined by Steve Beresford on piano and Sue Lynch on reeds.
As well as a 2018 split vinyl release on First Terrace Records [with Pierre Bastien+Cabo San Roque] firstterracerecords.bandcamp.com/album/fts003 there is a release on Blue Tapes featuring the quartet Minaru (Winkhaus with Sue Lynch) bluetapes.bandcamp.com/album/blue-forty-seven
