Pat Thomas electronic compositions

In May 2023 I discovered the remarkable sound library Preparato by XPERIMENTA for Kontakt. www.xperimentaproject.com/preparato-piano/
This stunning library allowed me to extend my sonic palette adding prepared piano material. Inspired by this, I found it necessary to compose a new series of works which I called ILHAM, meaning 'inspiration' in Arabic.
The QALAM pieces (meaning 'pen' in Arabic) continue my fascination with applying King Tubby’s use of phasing within reverb technique to create an enhanced ethereal effect I call shimmer.
WADUD means 'all loving', and here I go to town with virtuosic signal processing.
I hope the listener has as much fun listening to these pieces as I had when creating them.
